 ting.This insightful workshop explores the factors which influence mental 
 wellbeing in the perinatal period and what helps new families. A key focus
  of the training is the interdependence of parent wellbeing and infant men
 tal health and how the attachment relationship can be protected when a par
 ent is unwell.\nThe emotional and psychological wellbeing of parents from 
 conception through to 12 months after a baby is born (the perinatal period
 )\, is at once very vulnerable and profoundly important for the long term 
 wellbeing of both parents and child.\nCommon parent issues before or after
  a birth may include “Baby Blues”\, depression\, anxiety and psychosis alo
 ng with infant issues such as attachment\, emotional regulation\, sleep an
 d feeding patterns.\nContent covered includes:\n\nVulnerabilities of the p
 erinatal period\nPreventative strategies\nSymptoms and causes of problems
 \nProtective factors\nInfant mental health\nWorking with family and commun
 ity\nTreatments and supports\nEncouraging help-seeking behaviours\nWhere t
 o seek further help\n\nScholarships:There are two scholarship places avail
 able for consumers or carers who face financial difficulty in attending th
